Pets 2001

Pets is an adult British puppet sitcom, produced by Fit2Fill Productions Limited. It was originally aired on Channel 4 and ran for two series, the first being broadcast in 2001, and the second in 2002. It was also sold to Fox in Australia, MTV in Italy, and the Middle East. The series was created and written by Andrew Barclay and Brian West, who had previously worked together at the Edinburgh Festival, winning an award for an advert for The Jerry Springer Show, and on the sketch show We Know Where You Live. A total of 26 episodes of Pets were aired, all approximately 11 minutes long. They were shown in the early hours of the morning, and as a result, the series was fairly unknown, although it did gain a significant cult following. There was a demand on the official website for Pets to be released on DVD. Eventually a limited edition DVD was made available to purchase via the official website. As well as the two series, the DVD included two unbroadcast episodes, a clip show named "The Trials Of Hamish", and a behind-the-scenes special named "The Making Of Pets". Several episodes of Pets are currently available as a free podcast downloadable via iTunes. In 2010, a similar show named Mongrels aired on BBC3, sparking controversy between the two. The casts of characters in those two shows are almost similar as well, although Pets had four main characters while Mongrels had five. Also, Mongrels' range of locations is more diverse, while Pets is confined to a single flat.

Wonder Pets! is an American animated children's television series. It debuted on March 3, 2006, on the Nick Jr. block of the Nickelodeon cable television network and Noggin on the same day. It won an Emmy Award in 2008 for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition in the United States.

Funny Pets 2006

Funny Pets is a digital computer anime series created and directed by Ryuji Masuda that was made in 2006. The sound effects were made by Shizuo Kurahashi. The plot of the series is that a UFO carrying two aliens from another planet ends up falling into Earth, where they are saved by a moody air-headed showgirl called Funny. The two aliens, the moon-like Crescent and the sun-like Corona, must adjust to life as Funny's pets. There are twelve episodes in the series.

Miracle Pets is a one-hour, live action program on the ION network, offering a perspective into the realm of human and animal interaction. Hosted by Alan Thicke, the series features animals protecting humans or other pets, one such being a llama guarding a herd of alpacas. It is also shown on Animal Planet as Animal Miracles. Each episode contains three or four segments, some extended beyond a commercial.

Totally Pets is a half-hour program that focuses on children and their interaction with their pets and the many ways to keep their pets happy and healthy. It was hosted by Cyndy Garvey. The series aired on PAX TV in 2003.

Funniest Pets & People

Funniest Pets & People is a fast-paced American television series that showcases funny home videos of pets and people of all ages and is produced by Brad Lachman's Genco Entertainment, Inc., and it's broadcast on various local TV stations in the United States for daily syndication. Similar in the style of America's Funniest Home Videos, this show is narrated by Rob Paulsen and it includes laughing audience members in the background, although some footage in the show has real laughter. This show, along with AFV, sometimes uses sound effects for fun. It was originally syndicated by Sony Pictures Television's Program Partners from 2006 to 2008, then The Program Exchange took over syndication from 2008 when production ended.

Pets Win Prizes was a game show, produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation and shown on Saturday nights on BBC 1 in the United Kingdom from 16 July 1994 to 3 August 1996. It was originally hosted by Danny Baker, but Dale Winton became the host at the start of the second series. The series is due to be revived in late 2013 on Challenge, with Hugh Evans as its presenter.

Penelope: Princess of Pets is a comedy series by comedy duo Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal, in which Schaal stars as Penelope, a woman who can talk with animals. On a mission to save the world by killing a legislator named Stone before it's too late, Penelope is accompanied on her quest by her pet bird Ruby, and orphan friend Kyle. The theme song is written and performed by comedian/musician Reggie Watts. Originally a web series of 3- to 5-minute webisodes for comedy website Super Deluxe, Penelope premiered online in March 2007, with nine webisodes released before the site was shut down in December 2008. It was picked up soon after to be adapted into a television show for United Kingdom broadcaster Channel 4. Produced by Avalon Television and billed as a "one-off special", the half-hour television format backdoor pilot was first broadcast on Comedy Lab on April 21, 2010. Although including various elements and bits from the original web series, the television show has a number of key differences, including altered character back-stories. Whereas the web series title sequence states that Penelope has 3759 hours to save the world, the title sequence for the television show states that Penelope has 3769 hours. The television show features a legislator named Stone like in the web series, but since the TV show is set in the UK rather than the United States, Stone is a Member of Parliament rather than a senator. While Senator Stone is played by Ali Reza Farahnakian in the web series, in the television show MP Thomas Stone is played by Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh. The henchmen played by twin comedians Todd and Adam Stone in the web series are replaced by MP Stone's adopted sons, played by twin actors Sam and Matt Kennard. These secondary characters play a more prominent role in the television series, with MP Stone given main billing in the title sequence.

When Good Pets Go Bad

When Good Pets Go Bad is an American reality television series of specials about animals behaving in dangerous and often unpredictable ways. It is currently shown on Spike. The title, "When Good Pets Go Bad", is somewhat of a misnomer. While some of these are pets, others are livestock or wild animals. The series contains footage of many types of animals, including horses, dogs, house cats, big cats, moose, deer, cattle, primates and reptiles. Viewers may also question whether the animals are "bad" in a moral sense or are merely acting according to instinct. Animals are shown reacting in response to stimuli such as objects being thrown at them, the presence of television cameras, humans approaching mothers with young or during the breeding season, cage doors being opened or unexpected human gestures. Some of the animals, such as monkeys, a kangaroo and a lion, are shown after escaping from a laboratory or a zoo. Several of the horse segments involve harness horses that apparently were spooked and tried to escape, which is a horse's natural defense, or saddle horses that reared and fell on their riders. Several segments include bulls and horses used in rodeos. The narrator refers to the animals featured in this program using such terms such as "frenzied", "merciless", "furious", "enraged" or "terrifying". Attack scenes are often replayed several times.
